Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov says that the Syrian government must approve of any foreign military forces acting in the country.
Russian TASS news agency reports that Ryabkov's comment came in response to a question about a potential US ground incursion in Syria. "The question of using military force in any form without the agreement of Damascus is for us unacceptable," he said.
