The chief rabbi of Tsfat, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, has expressed his opposition to MDA's triage instructions that call for treating people according to the severity of their needs, including terrorists.

"There is no mitzvah to save the lives of these murders," he wrote on his Facebook page in response to a question as to whether an MDA volunteer is permitted to treat a terrorist.

"It doesn't matter what MDA says," Rabbi Eliyahu explained. "You do what you need to do, the important thing is to treat a wounded Jew before any terrorist. Treat a wounded Jew as much as needed, even if the terrorist dies."
