US First Lady Michelle Obama is going to make her first official trip to the Middle East next week by visiting Qatar and Jordan. The goal of the visit will be to encourage educational opportunities for girls.
While in Qatar she will speak about her Let Girls Learn program at the World Innovation Summit for Education. When she gets to Jordan she will visit a school that was funded by the US Agency for International Development.
She will also do some sight-seeing, including at Petra.
