Republicans in the US House of Representatives have nominated Paul Ryan (R-WI) to be the next Speaker of the House.
Ryan's supporters hope that he will be able to unite the party, which has suffered from a lack of cohesion. There are currently 15 Republicans competing for the presidential nomination.
