The director of Israeli courts, Judge Michael Spitzer, sent a letter to Speaker of the Knesset Yuli Edelstein (Likud) today. Jude Shpitzer demanded that the Knesset take action to curb MK Motti Yogev's (Jewish Home) statements about the courts.
MK Yogev recently used Facebook to criticize Justice Uzi Folgman's decision to delay the destruction of terrorists' houses: "Supreme Court Justice Uzi Folgman, in a ruling today delaying the destruction of murderous terrorists' homes, placed himself on the side of the enemy. He defends the rights of murderers, and thus prevents deterrent punishment and endangers lives."
Judge Spitzer wrote in his letter that "MK Yogev, as a member of the Knesset in the State of Israel, has gone too far in his extreme expressions and incites against judges in Israel."
