US Congressman and former Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan (R-WI) has announced his candidacy for the position of Speaker of the House. He has already received the support of most Republicans.
"After talking with so many of you, and hearing your words of encouragement, I believe we are ready to move forward as a one, united team," Ryan wrote to his colleagues. "And I am ready and eager to be our speaker."
