The Palestinian Authority took back their petition to UNESCO to have the Kotel (Western Wall) recognized as part of the Al-Aksa mosque, in advance of Wednesday’s vote on the matter.
Nevertheless, the amended petition still has the PA demanding that Rachel’s Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs be recognized as Palestinian-Muslim sites.
