The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Commitee approved second and third readings of a proposed bill establishing that throwing rocks at a person will be considered severe and intentional infliction of bodily harm and will carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

The proposed bill also establishes that the minimum sentence for rock terror will be one fifth of the maximum sentence. In addition, the bill will allow the nullification of National Insurance stipends for parents of youth terrorists sentenced to prison (during prison stay) and the fining of 10,000 shekels of parents of convicted youth rock terrorists.
