Shortly after returning from a trip to the United States this morning (Monday), opposition head Isaac Herzog (Zionist Union) spoke about last night's attack in Be'er Sheva.

"Another despicable attack last night joined the chain of painful events from the past few weeks," said MK Herzog. "With my return from a foreign political conference I ask that we support the mayor of Be'er Sheva, Ruvik Danilovich, and the city's residents. I offer my condolences to the Levy family for the death of their son Omri, a member of the Golani Brigade, and my wishes for the swift recovery to all the wounded."

He added, "But even in difficult events such as this, we must maintain our humanity and not take the law into our own hands. The disgusting lynch that was perpetrated against the Eritrean citizen Mila Habdum crosses every line of morality and waves like a black flag. Even when our blood is burning we cannot do this."
