German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has announced that the sanctions against Iran will remain in effect until January, at the earliest.
As part of the nuclear agreement between Iran and the West, which was signed three months ago, Iran will allow outsider observers to oversee its nuclear program. Should Iran prove to be complying with the deal, they will lift the sanctions.
