Foreign Minister Director Dr. Dore Gold has commented on the recent arson against Joseph's Tomb.
"The Palestinian attack against Joseph's Tomb is reminiscent of the actions of radical Islamists, from Afghanistan to Lybia," said Dr. Dole. "Israel strongly denounces the attack on Joseph's Tomb that occurred solely because it is a holy place for Jewish worshippers. The burning of Joseph's Tomb forcefully illustrates for us what would happen to the holy sites in Jerusalem if they are under Palestinian control. Only Israel can protect the sites in Jerusalem that are holy to all religions."
