A survey in Turkey as elections loom found that support for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK) has risen from 40.9 percent to 42.5 percent.
This is still not a large enough sector of the vote for the party to create a government on its own. According to the survey, AK is expected to receive 261 seats in Parliament following the November 1 election, while it needs 276 for a majority.
