A Jewish man was assaulted without provocation while sitting on a bench in New York, Crown Heights Info reports. Local security volunteers and witnesses subdued the assailant and notified the police.
The victim was not seriously harmed and declined offers of medical assistance.
The perpetrator was visibly intoxicated and admitted that he "took crack." Police took him away in an ambulance, and say that they will take him for psychiatric treatment.
