Opposition chairman Yitzhak Herzog (Zionist Union) spoke Monday at the opening of the Knesset's winter session following Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's speech.
"Every few minutes, sometimes every few hours, mobile phones beep in the pockets of the citizens of Israel. More bad news. Another stabbing. Another wounded. Another person, God forbid, killed," he said.
"This is a great storm in Israel, but these days have also important and exciting unity. At present, we are all obligated to raise a moral voice, demonstrate leadership, not stand aside."
"We must condemn any kind of terrorism, militancy, bullying and racism. We are destined to live in this country - Jews and Arabs together. We are destined to respect each other despite the difficult, even at times unbearable, reality."
