About 400 people in the US state of Mississippi came out to protest against the continued use of the Confederate symbol on the state flag, claiming that it shows a support for slavery.
The symbol was added to the Mississippi flag in 1894, nearly 30 years after the Civil War ended with a Confederacy's surrender.
