The issue regarding security in Jerusalem schools, which had caused a strike in city schools, was resolved on Sunday night, and classes in Jerusalem will be held on Monday as scheduled.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon agreed with Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat that a strike planned for Monday would be cancelled. According to the agreement, and in view of the special status of Jerusalem, the Jerusalem municipality will provide security in educational institutions at all school hours.

The sides agreed that in 2016 the government will address the needs of security guards at educational institutions, as presented by the municipality.
