The Karlin-Stolin Rebbe has instructed his followers not to employ Arab workers to build the order's new synagogue in Givat Ze'ev, due to the security situation.
Work on the floor was supposed to begin today (Sunday), but the contractor now says that he needs more time in order to find non-Arab workers. He added that, for him, hiring Arabs is a form of pikuah nefesh [the religious imperative to save lives].
"I am not willing for Arabs to walk around among the local residents at this time," the Rebbe said.
