The Taliban tried to attack a British military convoy in Afghanistan using a car bomb. At least three civilians, one only a child, were wounded.
Local security forces cleared the area for ambulances, though the Afghan Interior Ministry says that relatively few people were harmed by the explosion. "The ministry of interior condemns in the strongest terms the suicide attack which resulted in the wounding of three civilians," it added.
The British Defense Ministry says that none of the casualties were UK citizens.
