MK Shelly Yachimovich (Zionist Union) has rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's call for unity.
"Netanyahu's call for unity is meaningless and intended to let him shake off responsibility and create a false picture that the opposition is partially at fault for what is happening," said MK Yachimovich. "All that Netanyahu asks is to share his complete political and security failure with others, after his great weakness in the field that he loves to boast about, security, was finally exposed."
She added, "Nothing prevents the Prime Minister and his natural partners from initiating a political process and supporting the IDF and security forces - we support them and are proud of them regardless of Netanyahu's whims. The IDF has a multi-year plan, while Netanyahu never plans more than an hour ahead."
