The chief of staff for Turkey's military claims that MiG-29 fighter jets and anti-aircraft systems have "disrupted the activities" of eight of its own F-16s that were trying to patrol the border with Syria.
He added that he does not know the origin of the MiGs or AA systems, and did not explain precisely how they disrupted Turkish activities.
