Some 100 residents of the city of Sderot and 50 residents of the city of Netivot on Friday held rallies at the entrances of their respective cities following the murder in Samaria of Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin.

The residents waved signs and Israeli flags and called for the strengthening of the nation's spirit.

One of the organizers of the initiative said, "We convened the masses and the youth at the same time as the funeral in Jerusalem. True, it's Friday and we could not participate along with all of Israel at the funeral, but together we showed that we are as one man with one heart. That all the people of Israel need to stand tall and continue along proudly."
