The US Navy says that it has captured an Iranian ship that was attempting to smuggle weapons to Houthi jihadists in Yemen, Associated Press reports.
The ship was not registered to any country, and was carrying anti-tank weapons that are believed to have been made in Iran and Russia. Some of the weapons were confiscated for analysis, while the rest were dumped overboard.
The crew claimed that they were heading for Somalia. Once deprived of the weapons, they were allowed to leave.
