At least seven people have been killed today (Wednesday) by mail bombs in a small Chinese city, according to official media. More than 50 more have been wounded.
The Guangxi Daily newspaper added that there were 17 explosions in Liucheng County, in southern China.
The Ministry of Public Security has announced that it considers the attacks to be criminal rather than terror-related, and that they suspect a local man named Wei was the perpetrator. Authorities have not released any further information, including the motive.
