Jerusalem police say that 662 people visited the Temple Mount today, including 421 tourists.
A statement read this "Jerusalem police are making it their top priority to allow worshippers of all faiths to freely and safely visit their holy locations. The police will not allow any extremism or provocation to harm these universal values."
The statement also declared that "The police expect public leaders to condemn violence and incitement among their own populations and, particularly at this time, to demonstrate responsibility and work for calm."
