Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife departed on Tuesday for New York, where they will attend the UN General Assembly. Prior to his departure, Netanyahu said that “I feel a great honor and responsibility to tell the world the truth. The world needs to know what the Israeli citizen feels following the Iranian nuclear deal and what we expect of the international community in its aftermath. During my speech, I will also speak about our policies regarding Syria and the dangers along our northern border.”

The PM added that “I will meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry and we will speak about strengthening Israel’s security. We will also discuss the peace process. Israel wants peace with the Palestinian Authority, who, to my dismay, continues to spread lies about our policies on Temple Mount. Israel maintains the status quo. The rioting ‘Palestinians’ who bring weapons onto Temple Mount are those who hurt the holy status of the site and violate the status quo.”
