Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud) spoke about the newly-appointed police commissioner on Army Radio today (Sunday). The appointee has been revealed as Roni Alsheikh.
"I have known him since he was a platoon commander in the Paratrooper's 890 Brigade under me," said Ya'alon. "He is a great person, a fitting person, and I hope that he will be approved. He is a man with great abilities. During one operation in Lebanon he was sitting in the turret of an APC when a stone was thrown from a house and broke his hand. He has all the tools to succeed."
