President Reuven Rivlin has eulogized television personality Moti Kirschenbaum.

"Moti's death is the loss of a creator, director, and leader in the field of Israeli media. I first met him in my early years in the Knesset. He has since become a close friend and debating partner, sometimes as a journalist, sometimes as director of public broadcasting, sometimes as a sports fan, and always, always - as a friend."

He added, "Moti's wonderful ability to present every idea simply and as an equal, his talent for talking with any person, in his own language and level, was an inspiration to me. His sharp tongue, the satires and the biting criticisms, derived from his humor and sophistication and he knew how to express even the most complicated concepts to those who did not always want to hear them. I will greatly miss him. The State of Israel will miss his voice."
