A 19-year-old man from England has been sentenced to life in prison for planning to carry out a massacre at his former college.
Liam Lyburd was convicted by the Newcastle Crown Court of weapons possession with intent to endanger life. The weapons included a gun and pipe bombs.
He will be eligible for parole in eight years.
