MK Isaac Herzog (Zionist Union) eulogized recently-deceased television personality Moti Kirschenbaum.
"I waited, like every Friday, to hear him in his regular spit with Muli Shapira on Army Radio, and his voice did not come through," said MK Herzog. "He was a wizard with biting words, his sharp tongue always knew how to make Israeli comments clear."
He added, "We will remember him as one of the founders of public broadcasting, as a producer and writer of fine satire and as a teacher who encouraged many students in the field of communication and gave a great gift to the democratic and open discourse in Israel. His knowledge of how to make a range of issues understandable and fascinating and his actions in numerous fields won him the Israel Prize and turned him into one of the most important media personalities we have had here."
