The finance ministry has ordered Israel Rail to stop conducting rail work on Shabbat.
The instructions ruled that, starting from tonight (Friday), Israel Rail must cease its operations on "the opening of a fast route to Jerusalem will be delayed by two years and trains on Fridays and Saturday nights will be canceled."
