Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said during a ceremony in memory of the victims of the Yom Kippur War that “The awe behind the Yom Kippur War requires us to examine ourselves even today.”
According to Ya’alon, “We must all learn the morals of 1973, which accompany us as a heavy and threatening shadow. The challenges may be different, but they remain significant.”
