Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas warned Tuesday of the "risk of an intifada" or uprising if clashes on Temple Mount and at the Al-Aksa mosque continue, after a meeting with French leader Francois Hollande in Paris, AFP reports.

"What is happening is very dangerous," Abbas said, warning against "an intifida which we don't want", while Hollande called for "peace, calm and the respect of principles" around the holy site.
