The White House has confirmed that two US citizens were released today (Sunday) after being held by Houthi jihadists in Yemen for several months.
The two are 45-year-old Scott Darden and 54-year-old Sam Farran, the Washington Post reports. Darden works for a logistics company, while Farran is a security consultant. A third US national, an unnamed 35-year-old who has converted to Islam, is still being held captive.
A third prisoner, originally from the UK, was also released.
