Minister of Religious Services Rabbi David Azoulai (Shas) visited Hevron and Kiryat Arba today, in honor of the High Holidays. During a tour of the area, the minister visited the Me'arat Hamachpelah (Cave of the Patriarchs) and the ancient Jewish graveyard of the city.
"I am happy to come today, during the Ten Days of Repentance, to tour Hevron, the city of our forefathers," said Azoulai. "The Me'arat Hamachpelah is an indispensable part of the holy sites for the Jewish people, the Jewish Torah and its tradition, and the Land of Israel.
