The IDF Chief Medical Officer, Brigadier General Dudu Dagan, has ordered an investigation into an incident last week in which an aircraft technician fell from the wing of an aircraft at the Tel Nof near Gedera, Channel 2 reported Friday.

According to the report, the technician climbed on the wing of the aircraft for repairs, and fell off it, landing on a sharp object. The soldier, who is serving in active duty, felt excruciating pain and was referred to the medical staff at the base. Despite performing tests, they failed to discover that he had suffered internal damage.

According to a source at the base, the soldier underwent tests but the results were not registered properly and they were taken over. "They did not call an ambulance despite his condition, and during this time he was suffering from severe internal bleeding. Finally, his father is the one who took him to hospital, where they had to remove his spleen," the source said.
