Judge Nicola Lettieri of the International Criminal Court in the Hague found a Lebanese journalist not guilty of interfering with justice.
The journalist, Karma Khayat of the al-Jadeed TV station, was accused of revealing witnesses to the former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri's 2005 assassination. Khayat was found guilty of contempt of court for ignoring an order to remove the report in question from the station's website.
Prosecutors claimed that the witnesses' unveiling would scare others away from testifying, though Judge Lettieri found no basis to the argument.
