Nuclear experts are calling on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the international community to release information about the Parchin military site in Iran, Reuters reports.
The IAEA and Iran agreed on a secret plan for dealing with Parchin and several other sites. Only partial details have been released, but many fear that the agreement effectively allows Iran to advance its nuclear weapons program despite the P5+1 agreement.
David Albright, the head of the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, says that information "should be released because it's undermining the IAEA's credibility. Whatever the outcome of the sampling, the secrecy makes it harder to determine whether it's a credible sampling approach."
The former IAEA deputy director-general, Olli Heinonen, as also voiced his support for transparency.
