The chief veterinarian for the Shufersal grocery chain said on Thursday that “It is known that in the State of Israel most of the chickens have salmonella. We do our best, but the Health Ministry comes (to the stores) every so often with media crews and eats us alive.”
A source within the Health Ministry responded, saying that “The chickens have salmonella, as well as other bacteria, and so you must cook them.”
