The attorney for Dylann Roof, the man accused of murdering nine people in a South Carolina church, says that his client is open to pleading guilty as long as he would not receive the death penalty.
The lawyer added that such a plea would be a kindness to the survivors and victims' families, who would not be forced to go through a trial. He further requested that witness statements and the coroner's reports remain sealed.
