Russia's ambassador to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, has announced that his country and the United States are trying to coordinate a top-level meeting.
The heads of the two delegations would be US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, according to the RIA news agency.
