Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely responded to recent violent events in Jerusalem during and immediately following Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year).

“The reality where a Jew is killed after a holiday meal takes us back to dark times in history,” Hotovely said. “We cannot accept the violence and terror that is only increasing in the capital. I call to my friend Minister Erdan to instruct the police to take immediate action to return security to Jerusalem’s residents. The time has come to put an end to the violence.”
