German Chancellor Angela Merkel called to the western powers to work in conjunction with Russia to find a solution to the crisis in Syria.
Merkel’s statement followed a meeting between Germany’s Foreign Minister and his Russian counterpart on the establishment of an international force to deal with the crisis.
