Deputy Defense Minister, Rabbi Eli Ben Dahan, slammed Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, following the A-G’s decision to allow sports games to continue to take place on the Sabbath.
“If Weinstein would have said this about any other field, an uproar would have erupted. From a legal perspective, the Attorney General said, ‘Yes, it’s against the law but I will allow it.’ That is a problematic statement.”
