French President Francois Hollande has called for a meeting between the leaders of France, Germany, Ukraine, and Russia to take place later this month in Paris. The meeting would focus on advancing peace talks in light of the recent ceasefire in Ukraine.

"The process has moved forward. There has been progress in the last few weeks. The ceasefire has almost been respected," President Hollande told journalists.

The United Nations General Assembly is scheduled to discuss the fighting in Ukraine on September 28. Hollande says that he wants the leaders to meet before that date.
