A German pilots' union has announced that Lufthansa's long-distance and cargo flights will be on strike tomorrow (Tuesday). The strike is aimed at pressuring managers about salaries, retirement benefits, and cuts in costs.
This is the union's thirteenth strike in the past year and a half. It will affect flights leaving Germany between 6:00 am GMT and midnight GMT.
Lufthansa has been struggling to cut costs in the face of extreme-budget competitors such as Ryanair.
