North and South Korea have begun talks aimed at reunited families that were separated by the Korean War, according to officials in Seoul.
Associated Press reports that such reunions have not occurred since early 2014. The Korean War ended over 60 years ago, so most affected people are in their seventies or older, and say that they want to see their loved ones again before they die.
The talks came about after the two sides agreed to calm tensions earlier this month.
