MK Stav Shaffir (Zionist Union) has requested that Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein investigate reports of corruption against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to the reports, Prime Minister Netanyahu promised to transfer 900 million shekels ($230 million US) to the Arab sector in exchange for the Arab Joint List MKs not attending the vote on the natural gas bill.
MK Shaffir claims that "notwithstanding the provisions of law, case law, and the attorney general, and despite the State's stance as presented to the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister is now requesting to make a secret political agreement."
