Leader of the Tzohar rabbinical organization and member of the Helsinki Ethics Committee, Rabbi Yuval Cherlow, said on Sunday morning that the State of Israel should take in a small number of Syrian refugees that are in clear and immediate danger.
Rabbi Cherlow said that from Jewish and ethical perspectives, Israel cannot ignore what is going on in Syria and in other countries. He added that from a practical perspective, “We don’t have that kind of ability.”
