The Israeli Ethiopian community has announced another series of protests on Friday, setting a demonstration for Monday in Jerusalem after a Channel 2 report exposed footage of an Israel Police officer beating and tasering an Ethiopian Israeli.
"After what happened in Kikar Rabin, the police have seen even more legitimacy to beat us," one of the organizers stated, referring to anti-racism protests in May, June, and July which degraded into violence.
Monday's protest is set to begin in front of the Israel Police's national headquarters in Jerusalem, close to Hebrew University.
