The Judea-Samaria District Police referred to rumors in recent hours that the American tourists who were attacked yesterday in Hevron were not answered immediately when they sought help.
A police spokesman that the incident was reported from two sources simultaneously: tourists called the 100 hotline, while the Civil Administration received a request from the Civil Administration from the Palestinian Arab side.
"Reports of this nature are checked and we do not sent security forces to Palestinians without validation," the spokesman said. "This takes time."
